Setup Email in Bluehost

This toolset will provide you with step-by-step instructions on how to set up email in Bluehost. It's very important to have a matching email address for your website!

    Log into Your Control Panel

    Login into your Bluehost Control Panel <a href="http://www.bluehost.com" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">here</a> to get started!

    Click "Email Accounts" in one of the two locations in the CPanel

    Click on "Email Accounts" so you can be directed to the page where you will start managing your email accounts.

    Create Your Email Account

    To create your email account, simply fill out the desired username and select your domain in the drop down menu. &nbsp;Your email will look like this "john@yourdomain.com",&nbsp;if you use the username of "John" and select your domain "@yourdomain.com". &nbsp;Then type in the correct password twice for confirmation. &nbsp;Lastly, select the size of the mailbox you want with this account. &nbsp;This will allow the user to hold only a certain amount of email in their mailbox or you can set it to unlimited. &nbsp;After you are all done, click on "Create Account".

    Managing Your Email Accounts

    Congratulations, you have successfully created your email accounts. &nbsp;After creating your email accounts, they will show up below. &nbsp;You will then be allowed manage your accounts by changing passwords, setting different quotes, or even deleting the accounts.

    Go Back to CPanel to Check Your Email

    Now that you have created your email account, you will have to click on "CPanel" so we can access your email.

    Click on Webmail to Access Your Email Account

    Now that you are back at your CPanel, we will click on "Webmail" under the "Mail" header. &nbsp;This will take you in so you can select how to view your email.

    Login to Your Webmail

    At your Webmail Login, insert the email address "username@yourdomain.com" and then enter the password that&nbsp;corresponds&nbsp;to that account. &nbsp;Then click "Login".

    View Your Email Using One of the Email Providers

    There are three ways to view your email. &nbsp;Bluehost has three providers: Horde, Roundcube, and SquirrelMail. &nbsp;You can select any of these to view your email. &nbsp;To view your email&nbsp;using one of these providers, simply click on "Read Mail Using (Provider)".&nbsp;<br><br>All three of the providers are very similar to each other and provide the basic email features. &nbsp;<br><br>So now lets jump into one of the email providers so we can view your email. &nbsp;I will use "SquirrelMail" for this tutorial.

    Viewing Emails in SquirellMail

    This is what your SquirrelMail looks like. &nbsp;This looks like most email clients with all the basic functionality. &nbsp;The top blue menu bar holds some features such as: Email or Inbox, Compose, Addresses, Folders, and Settings. &nbsp;<br><br>If you have gotten this far, you should be able to use the basic features of this email client. &nbsp;<br><br>Look for our toolset on how to set up a third party email client such as Google, Thunderbird, or Microsoft Outlook with Bluehost email accounts.
